Runner cooled on nearly 2,500 screens earlier this month. That was Angel selling Ritchson and Wilson as a wide mainstream Friday. Badman is the next dated theatrical on the slate before Drummer Boy on November 6 and Zero A.D. on December 11. A western remake is a different ask than a chase comedy, and a different ask than a for KING + COUNTRY musical. The booking proof this week is simpler: the ticketing sites have rooms.
ComingSoon ran an exclusive clip on September 24 with Levi facing Jones’s marshal. The official trailer has been in the feed since early September. CinemaCon put the title on Angel’s 2026 map months ago. What changed for a stranger this week is not the cast list. It is that Fandango’s buy language matches a Friday that is nine days out.
What a seat means on this board
Tim Chey’s The Flood is still buying YouTube ads without a Fandango result, now dated March 5, 2027. Angel’s western is the opposite shape. No national screen count has been printed yet. The chains have not published a theater total the way Unveil did for Daniel. But the basic test this desk keeps running on faith Fridays is whether anyone can purchase a seat. For Badman, the answer is yes.
October 9 is the Friday. Levi is the outlaw. Jones is the law. The open question is how wide those listed rooms actually run once the weekend board posts, and whether a Guild score of 79 and a classic western remake fill them after Runner spent its opening heat in one weekend.
