Half the rooms, half the weekend again
A second straight mid-50s drop would be ordinary for an independent faith title sitting outside the top ten. Cutting 570 screens in the same breath is the booking answer. The rooms that stayed averaged about $908 for the weekend, softer than week two’s $1,184 and well under the $2,166 opening average. Mojo ranked the title thirteenth for the weekend frame. The Numbers had it in the same band with the same $664,394 and 731 theaters.
What the cume buys
Through three weekends, Daniel has spent most of its domestic money. Opening weekend alone was 43 percent of the current cume on The Numbers’ ledger. Kooman already mapped sequels past the furnace—Jeremiah, Nebuchadnezzar, the lions’ den—without a Friday attached. A $7.6 million domestic run is not nothing for Unveil without Angel on the marquee. It is also not a map that grew. Brazil is dated October 22 as a limited release. The U.S. circuit is the one that already answered.
Week two asked whether the cut rooms would stop. They did not. The open question for week four is whether 731 theaters hold, or whether exhibitors treat the furnace as a title that already spent its heat.
