Kooman plans Daniel sequels through the lions’ den

Kooman had already framed the first film as an origin chunk. In the same conversation he said the brothers wanted room for “multiple episodes or movies,” that you could do a whole picture on the lions’ den and another on Nebuchadnezzar’s chapter four, and that they took the Babylon beginning first. The Bi interview is the first time he lined those titles up in public order: Jeremiah, Nebuchadnezzar, lions’ den.

He also drew the line the sequels will have to live inside. Chapters one through six are narrative, he said. Seven through twelve are prophetic and hard to shoot as plot. “You build the narrative stories and you add those prophetic visions.” That is a feature roadmap, not a streaming season order, and not a date. No Friday. No crowdfund total for the next one. No word on whether Massoud and Alexander stay.

Unveil’s site was already teasing a lions’ den follow-up before opening weekend. What changed Monday is the director putting Jeremiah and a Nebuchadnezzar chapter on the same map, on camera, three days after a wide Bible title finished soft. The open question is whether a $2,000-a-screen average funds that map, or whether the next Daniel picture waits for a different list than the one that filled Fandango and left the multiplex mostly empty.
