Chosen & Pop put a Joseph of Egypt behind-the-scenes reel on Facebook Wednesday: men in period tunics kicking up desert dust, a boom mic over an actor in robes, a camera pointed at the take. The caption says the Chosen-universe Genesis series is already filmed, sitting in post-production, with Adam Hashmi as Joseph and no release date announced.
That is the public record, restated with set tape. Prime Video ordered the eight-episode limited series in August 2025 from Amazon MGM Studios and Dallas Jenkins’s 5&2 Studios. Craig Wright writes and showruns. Alexander Siddig plays Jacob. Babak Tafti, Daniel Peera, and Iris Bahr are among the billed brothers and Leah. Production shot outside Albuquerque. Jenkins told fans on a December livestream the cameras were done and the series would probably arrive in 2027.
