Come and See put Season 6 in churches two months before Prime

Come and See opened a free, in-person early-access window today for Episode 1 of The Chosen Season 6, letting U.S. churches and parishes host one non-ticketed screening between September 15 and November 15.

Prime Video still drops the season on November 15, so the sanctuary gets a two-month head start in the room and nowhere else. No livestream.

A ministry window with a streaming date attached

The August 17 press release told pastors to register, parishes to use a separate form, and hosts that they would get a discussion guide, a prayer resource, and slides. Come and See says it can decline anyone who is not a church or parish running a ministry event. Australia and New Zealand got a parallel window through November 14. International access waits on translated materials.

Dallas Jenkins, in the same rollout, did not sell a trailer. He sold a room. “Pastors and priests, the church and parish setting is going to be vital for this season. People are going to have questions,” he said. On the press page: “Watching our first episode in a church setting will not only be exciting, but for some people it will be essential.” The episode picks up at the arrest in Gethsemane. Season 6 is the crucifixion day. Amazon MGM still has a theatrical crucifixion film for spring 2027. The finale on this board is March 12.

The split window, again

Season 5 already ran IMAX on Friday and churches on Sunday. This is that habit with the commercial date pushed back. Prime gets the subscribers who will click in November. Come and See gets the rooms that will never open the app. James Barnett, the foundation’s CEO, called churches “the best ones to help viewers navigate” what the season does to people, which is pastoral language covering a distribution fact: a free file, a verified pulpit, and two months when the only legal screen is a sanctuary.

The registration pages are live. The episode is 55 minutes. If your church is dark tonight, it is because nobody filed the form, not because Prime locked the tape.
