What the weekdays added

Box Office Mojo and The Numbers agree through Wednesday, October 14. Monday, Indigenous Peoples’ Day, was $300,709. Tuesday was $359,982. Wednesday was $240,926. The total that night was $3,016,733, and Mojo marks those dailies as final. The Numbers then posts Thursday, October 15, at $134,062, which takes the running total to $3,150,795. Mojo’s release page still stops at Wednesday. On The Numbers, Thursday is still counted at 2,263 theaters. The cut to 1,270 is the booking for the weekend that starts today.

What 993 screens leaves

993 theaters is about 44 percent of last weekend’s map. The rooms still booked, 1,270, are a little over half of the opening count. The Numbers says the opening weekend is 67.1 percent of the $3,150,795 it is carrying through Thursday, which means the weekdays have not built a second weekend on their own. New Zealand is still set for October 22, and Australia for November 26. Neither territory has a gross yet.

The open question is what those 1,270 rooms do from Friday through Sunday, and whether the weekend chart uses the same theater count. Until those three days post, 1,270 is a booking.
