A sold-out Scottish Rite night
Heartland’s ticket page lists the Festival World Premiere for Thursday, October 8, at 6:30 p.m. at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. The opening-night schedule is marked sold out: doors and red carpet at 5:30, screening and extended Q&A at 6:30. Heartland’s October 7 lineup note says Apa, Burns, Stewart-Harcourt, Casella, Killmer, Lilley, and Drew are expected on the carpet.
The festival announced Jimmy as opening night back in June. What changed this week is the sold-out listing and the public cast call for Indianapolis, a month before Fathom’s national booking. Heartland also points to a Washington West closing-night slot on October 10 and a Newport Beach centerpiece on October 17 before the November 6 Friday.
Same Friday as Drummer Boy
Tickets for the national open have been on sale against Angel’s Drummer Boy for weeks. Fathom is selling Stewart’s faith-and-service story on a Veterans Day corridor hangover, not as a Christmas Nativity. A sold-out Heartland carpet does not invent those rooms. It does put Apa and Stewart’s daughter in a Midwestern house that already filled before the chains post a screen count.
The open question is whether a festival world premiere in Indianapolis travels into the November 6 fight with Angel’s musical, or whether Jimmy stays a specialty biopic that wins opening nights and still has to scrap for auditoriums.
